HOUSING + HEALTHCARE = HOPE
We are working to raise $2.5 million to build a new one-story Dental Clinic and Administrative Services facility at SW 11th St. and S. Walker Ave.
Our new home will replace the former Methodist Church building we used for more than 90 years, which recently was deemed structurally unsafe. We are currently renting office space four miles south of our former home.
This project is extremely important. A new NSO home will allow us to:
- Nearly double the number of Dental Clinic services we provide. Currently, we see 2,000 patients annually and perform 6,000 procedures. At 2,500 square feet, the new clinic will be nearly five times larger than its former space and increase the oral health exam services we can perform each year by nearly 2,000
- Provide meeting space for educational outreach in the community that will help resolve housing, homelessness and health care issues
- Reduce overhead operating costs. Our former facility was 96 years old, built on multiple levels and was difficult to access, inefficient to heat and cool and unsafe to operate. Our new one-story home will resolve these issues and allow us to focus more on our programs.
